CRAC – Centro in Romagna per la Ricerca Arte Contemporanea ha compreso che uno degli impegni è quello di coinvolgere il dinamismo dei giovani curatori, nell’ambito del nuovo polo culturale di DART – Domus delle Arti, del Turismo e delle Relazioni con l’intento di valorizzare il ruolo e il prestigio di questa ‘nuova’ istituzione, nella complessiva opera di lancio e consolidamento di DART e di Villa Verlicchi come luogo di riferimento vitale e dinamico per il territorio.
Dopo il bando vinto e il restauro della ottocentesca Villa Verlicchi nel triennio scorso, si sceglie quindi di dare l’opportunità ai curatori di presentare un progetto, che si tradurrà in una mostra da allestire nei suoi spazi espositivi.
CRAC – Centro in Romagna per la Ricerca Arte Contemporanea, pur mantenendo un’autonomia nella proposta delle diverse soluzioni curatoriali, ritiene importante evidenziare che accoglierà in massima parte i progetti che rientrano nell’area artistica contemporanea e del presente.
Crediamo ci siano, nel contesto italiano e non solo, molte parti ancora da esplorare, soprattutto da parte dei giovani curatori, che essi siano free-lance, artisti, collettivi o designer, dediti anche alla parte curatoriale dei progetti. Noi vorremmo scoprirne le loro potenzialità.
I candidati possono essere curatori, artisti, collettivi o altre figure dedite all’arte, senza limiti di età e nazionalità.
Per lo svolgimento del concorso sono previsti i seguenti termini: – Consegna progetti – 15.02.2022
– Comunicazione vincitore – 1.03.2022
– Mostra finale tra la primavera e l’autunno del 2022.
Al vincitore verrà data l’opportunità di poter allestire, a titolo gratuito, l’intero progetto negli spazi espositivi di DART in Villa Verlicchi e negli spazi esterni del giardino all’italiana di Villa Verlicchi.

CRAC – Center in Romagna for Contemporary Art Research has understood that one of the commitments is to involve the dynamism of young curators, within the new cultural center of DART – Domus of the Arts, Tourism and Relations with the aim of enhance the role and prestige of this ‘new’ institution, in the overall launch and consolidation of DART and Villa Verlicchi as a vital and dynamic reference point for the territory.
After the competition won and the restoration of the nineteenth-century Villa Verlicchi in the last three years, it was therefore decided to give the curators the opportunity to present a project, which will result in an exhibition to be set up in its exhibition spaces.
CRAC – Center in Romagna for Contemporary Art Research, while maintaining autonomy in the proposal of the various curatorial solutions, considers it important to highlight that it will mostly accommodate projects that fall within the contemporary and present artistic area.
We believe there are, in the Italian context and beyond, many parts still to be explored, especially by young curators, whether they are freelancers, artists, collectives or designers, also dedicated to the curatorial part of the projects. We would like to discover their potential.
Prize The winner will be given the opportunity to set up, free of charge, the entire project in the DART exhibition spaces in Villa Verlicchi and in the outdoor spaces of the Italian garden of Villa Verlicchi.
Candidates can be curators, artists, collectives or other figures dedicated to art, with no age or nationality limits. The following deadlines are foreseen for the competition:
– Project submission – 15.02.2022 – Winner announcement – 1.03.2022 – Final exhibition between spring and autumn of 2022.
