Il video realizzato da Antonella Prencipe, Marilena Benini (insegnanti di grafica dello “Strocchi” di Faenza) e Alberto Cavina mette in scena la condizione di solitudine e disorientamento in cui l’emergenza ci ha improvvisamente gettati, lasciandoci orfani di abbracci e prossimità. La paura e il senso di smarrimento lasciano, però, ben presto il posto alla dimensione inattesa dell’immaginazione: come in un quadro di Chagall, i personaggi raffigurati nel video, animati dalla forza libera e creatrice del pensiero, fluttuano leggeri sullo sfondo di un cielo stellato, si mandano baci a distanza e, starnutendo, danno vita a una nuvola di mille farfalle che nascono dall’amore riscoperto in ognuno di noi e che aggrediscono il virus fino a distruggerlo e farlo sparire nel nulla, mentre nello scenario di una rinata primavera, la vita ricomincia a fluire e tutti possono finalmente tornare ad abbracciarsi.

All’inizio della pandemia, verso metà marzo, e dopo 15 giorni di lockdown, chiusi in casa e bombardati da notizie di morti e aumenti esponenziali di casi di ricoveri per covid19, come persona e come artista avvertivo un senso di difficoltà ad elaborare la situazione, e di impotenza generale nelle persone. Feci una passeggiata nei campi dietro casa, era comunque primavera. Fotografai un corso d’acqua, che aveva colpito la mia attenzione e mi aiutava.
La mattina dopo ho visualizzato una fila di barche, unite tra loro, che risalivano insieme la corrente, illuminate da un raggio di luce. L’ho sentito uno stimolo a sperare e un invito a trasmettere questa possibilità anche alle persone e agli artisti, ricominciando e creare qualcosa, anche in questo periodo, o a condividere qualche loro opera che li facesse sentire bene, per stimolare le difese immunitarie interiori di tutti.
Oggi 9 maggio 2020, che la sensazione generale in Italia è un po’ quella di riprendere lentamente a vivere, ho ricomposto le due immagini che desidero condividere e che allora mi sono arrivate per prime: la foto e lo schizzo del disegno.

“Go upstream” Digital photo processing and pastel drawing
At the beginning of the pandemic, in mid-March, and after 15 days of lock
down, closed at home and bombarded by reports of deaths and exponential
increases in cases of hospitalizations for covid19, as a person and as
an artist I felt a sense of difficulty in processing the situation, and
of general impotence in people. I took a walk in the fields behind my
house, it was still spring. I photographed a stream, which had caught
my attention and helped me. The next morning I saw a row of boats, joined together, going upstream to gether, illuminated by a ray of light. I felt a stimulus to hope and an invitation to transmit this possibility also to people and artists, starting over and creating something, even in this period, or to share some of their works that made them feel good, to stimulate the internal immune defenses of all. Today 9 May 2020, that the general feeling in Italy is a little that of slowly starting to live again, I reassembled the two images that I want to share and that then came first: the photo and the sketch of the drawing.

Sono inciampata quasi per caso in questa Call e subito ho pensato a cosa mandarvi!

2.527.590 sono le persone morte di fame.190.318 sono le persone morte di malattie associate all’acqua.9.605.565 sono il numero degli aborti.
(Le tre cause di morte dell’opera sono state scelte in quanto sono vittima di nostre decisioni o della nostra indifferenza. Sono tutti quei motivi su cui avremmo e abbiamo potere decisionale ma comunque scegliamo, spesso, di stare a guardare).

Questi numeri continuano a crescere, incessantemente ed ad una velocità terrificante.
In un momento dove i numeri hanno un peso maggiore vorrei che la gente si ricordi che di questioni che mietono tantissime vite ce n’è tutti i giorni. Non vuole essere un giudizio alle scelte delle persone ma solo una presa di coscienza.
Non per dire che i morti di oggi non siano “importanti” ma per sottolineare che per far fronte alla situazione Covid c’è un impegno costante e il massimo sforzo mentre per il resto, a volte, non viene fatto lo stesso.
La morte causata da questo virus è solitaria, quindi stringiamoci nel pensiero che passerà tutto presto e impegnamoci a fare tutti del nostro meglio con l’augurio che questa umanità che ci siamo trovati costretti a tirare fuori rimanga anche nella felicità di tutti i giorni a servizio ai più bisognosi. Credo che questo isolamento ci conceda del tempo extra per riflettere e pensare alle persone che diamo per scontate, alla fortuna (nella sfortuna) di essere in Italia dove la sanità, seppur con tutte le sue pecche, esiste.
I punti, grossolani nel lavoro, vogliono incentivare a cambiarne la posizione…
Quelli messi in alto sono pesanti e si spera che un domani finiscano in basso, così da mettere una conclusione alla crescita.
Questo è il mio lavoro.

Buongiorno, mi chiamo Giorgia Pettinari, sono un’artista originaria di Senigallia, formatasi a Ravenna e con alle spalle percorsi in varie città italiane, in continuo dialogo con le varie forme artistiche, dal mosaico, alla fotografia, dalla pittura alla public art, con cui mi misuro ogni giorno.
Ho scoperto questa call e con piacere desidero partecipare. Vi allego perciò le foto e la descrizione di un mio lavoro, Aura, non tra i più recenti ma esemplificativo di quello che è il mio percorso. Questa è una tra le mie prime opere di ricerca sul tema della luce, che affronto con una tecnica di retroilluminazione dell’immagine che mi permette di operare su di un duplice livello: quello del supporto, in questo caso cartaceo e quello della luce, artificiale o naturale che sia. In questa dimensione temporale decisamente nuova e imprevedibile in cui tutti ci siamo ritrovati causa Covid, Aura rappresenta la mia visione del tempo.
Aura – PETTIGIO – Inchiostro e olio su carta, retroilluminazione.
L’opera si compone di due elementi, uniti a formare un dittico.
Viene concepita per esser collocata in prossimità di una fonte luminosa che la illumini sul retro: l’immagine, attraversata dalla luce, si fa in tal modo trasparente e portatrice di luminosità.
Mai uguale a se stessa, l’opera è dunque in continuo divenire e vive di questo stretto rapporto con la luce, che le fa assumere, di minuto in minuto, toni e intensità mutevoli.
Forme indefinite, dai confini incerti, situazioni in evoluzione, transitorie ed effimere: costante è il riferimento al tempo e al suo divenire, circolare o mai uguale a se stesso.

“Selfie. Vanity Fair”, oil on canvas, 160×260 cm, March 2020 – Modern society is permeated by a virus of self-admiration. The apogee of this disease was expressed in general selfie-addiction. What does a modern person do when he or she sees a non-standard and sometimes dangerous situation? He is in a hurry to help, no; he photographed it on his or her gadget. In my work I display our society at the time of his narcissism. Each of the heroes of the picture froze in a bizarre pose, each of them wants to capture himself as beautifully as possible and it does not matter that the photo is taken next to the dying man. After all, they see in him only beautiful flesh. At the same time, the viewer sees this situation from the outside – these are unnatural people in silly poses. It is no coincidence that the work consists of three separate parts. Thus, I wanted to draw a parallel with the medieval winged altarpiece, to show what our society has come to. In the foreground we see the figure of a dying colossus – as a symbol of a passing era and its ideals. This hero represents a perfect image based on the aesthetics of the Renaissance. The viewer can draw a parallel and compare how our society has changed and what is really important for a modern person.

So I made this work being in double selfisolation – one – official quarantine; second – geographical and social distance. In this work I displayed allegory to our life; her cyclic recurrence.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am Florencia Del Fabbro from Argentina.
I am sending you five photos of two different projects that im carrying out during this quarantine.
I send you three photos from a series of small-format portraits that I am taking simultaneously, which are titled portraits in quarantine mode. They are portraits of my friends and me having a video call. The idea arose from photos taken during the talks we have. It seemed like a good way to portray a fact that has become the only way we have to communicate with our loved ones during this time of isolation.

The other two photos correspond to a of a large format work that is in process. As in Argentina the coronavirus arrived a little later than in other parts of the world, I had time to prepare the large format canvas to be able to paint during this time that I would be locked in my house. This work continues with a theme in which i have been working, in which children and animals interact. In this case it is seen that the children are observing a great chaos that is taking place almost next to them, in which animals are having a fight between themselves. The idea of chaos and violence of nature as opposed to the innocence of children playing seems very attractive to me.

A little bit about me and my practice: I am 22 years old and I hold a BFA in Visual Art & Art History from Queen’s University & an MLitt Curatorial Practice from the Glasgow School of Art. Currently, I am pursuing my Doctorate of Creative Arts with the University of Southern Queensland. I have dualistic experience as a Curator/Artist and been involved in many projects and galleries globally. Ranging from projects with such galleries as Agnes Etherington Art Centre, Hunterian Art Gallery & Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Art. Exploring my artist practice as a methodology that suggests the human condition is more complex then it is currently understood. Using primarily, painting, collage, and sculpture I examine, instigate and provokes notions of the individual experience through specifically focusing on philosophical discourse, body image, embodiment, animals & ethics.

Ciao CRAC, sono Sara Spizzichino, artista romana come tutti in lockdown da diverso tempo ormai.
Vi scrivo per raccontarvi brevemente la mia esperienza, sto lavorando moltissimo da quando è iniziata questa situazione e tutte le immagini che vi mando sono di alcune cose realizzate in questi giorni. Mi sto concentrando moltissimo sul disegno, ho trasformato la mia casa in una residenza artistica dove realizzo le cose con quello che ho a disposizione, cercando di non cadere nello scoraggiamento.
Le foto che vi invio sono alcune testimonianze del work in progress di questi giorni, mi fa davvero piacere condividere la mia esperienza. Il tempo arrivato tutto insieme e come mai prima d’ora, mi ha portata a lavorare con un approccio diverso, meno esigente e più incline all’errore, in fase di scoperta. Seguendo questa ritrovata magnanimità, ho potuto realizzare dei lavori concedendomi di ricavarne cose senza senso, che poi hanno assunto un significato preciso in un secondo momento.
Nei miei disegni che ho chiamato “Lockdown drawings”, forse la parte più intima del mio lavoro, cerco di portare dentro le mura di casa la mia esperienza del mondo sensibile fuori, filtrata dal mio ricordo: quello che rivedo nei disegni è una Natura nella cui rielaborazione avverto moltissimo il fascino, l’inquietudine e la severità.

Dear Artists, My name is Ipung Purnomo. I am a visual artist from Indonesia. I am interested in your open call: CRACovid(a) and wish to participate.
Biography: Ipung Purnomo is an Indonesian artist. He was born in 1974. He’s had passion for painting since he was very young. His early works were landscapes and portraits. He had his first solo painting exhibition when he was in a college. He lived in Yogyakarta from 2001-2005. He ran a painting studio there. He traveled to some cities in Indonesia to receive trainings from some professional artists.
Currently, he’s living in Papua. He has participated in national and international exhibitions. A few collective exhibitions that were held in Indonesia and some collective exhibitions which were held in Japan, the USA, Italy, the Netherlands, Vietnam, Columbia, the UK, France, Poland, Germany, Spain, Rome and Austria.
His works have been included in international publications: International Contemporary Artists, International Contemporary Masters, and Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Journal. He has received a Museum Award from Musee de Peinture de Saint-Frajou, France. He wrote a book “The Artistic Glimpse Of The East” in 2018 and it was published by The Scholars’ Press in January, 2019. He was selected for an artist’s residency program at Kersan Art Foundation, Yogyakarta, in June 2019.

Buongiorno cari amici di CRAC, sono d’accordo “L’arte, come sempre, ci aiuta a tenere alte le difese immunitarie; della nostra anima, della nostra energia vitale” oggi più che mai non possiamo lasciarci portare delle numerose fonti di paura che ci circondano.
L’arte e vitale, l’arte è vita.
D’accordo con la vostra presentazione, invio in allegato una serie di dipinti e disegni, in alcuni uso come colore fondamentalmente il caffè; i soggetti sono inspirati all’iconografia precolombiana. È immesso il lavoro artistico svolto dalle culture mesoamericane e cerco di giocare di proporre nuove immagini, nuovi personaggi in modo di rivivere la loro cultura, da cui in parte vengo anch’io.
Invio anche un altro dipinto all’olio e due a matita. L’olio vuole fare un richiamo alla spiritualità, al Dio che si fa uomo, invece i due disegni a matita, seguendo sempre la medesima ricerca sul tema precolombiano, riprendono antichi disegni della ‘‘expedicion botanica’’ un progetto di ricerca sulla flora e la fauna delle terre americane, concretamente dell’allora Nuova Granada, tra il XVIII E IL XIX secolo.

Ciao! Ecco il mio progetto per Cracovid(a)
In pratica condivido le istruzioni per realizzare un collage.
Ogni essere umano è potenzialmente un artista. L’idea è quella di utilizzare l’arte come risorsa personale per superare il confinamento saltando il confine. Considerato che non tutti si sentono affini al “fare arte”, ho ideato una serie di istruzioni in sequenza per avvicinare tutti alla realizzazione di un proprio collage personale.
L’idea mi è venuta perchè sto svolgendo una residenza artistica online al Chiasso Perduto di Firenze e per la residenza sto realizzando un libro di collages giornalieri. Mi sono accorta, giorno dopo giorno, che questi collages sono diventati per me una risorsa per “evadere” dal confinamento, per trovare delle strategie, sulla carta, delle scappatoie ed uscire dal confine del foglio.
Da qui l’idea di condividere, con più persone possibili, l’opportunità di questa “evasione”. Aggiungo che, al termine della residenza, realizzerò un’opera installativa con i collages prodotti da chi si è cimentato ed ha deciso di condividere il proprio lavoro come #chiassoperdutocollage

Igor Zusev
Igor Zusev was born in Russia, February, 1979. He emigrated to the US with his family in 1989. His artistic photographic expressions started early in life with a gift of a point and shoot camera at the age of 8. A veteran of the US NAVY, Igor was his ship’s official photographer where he record military life as he lived it. Since then, Igor has continued to photograph a wide variety of subjects. In the last few years he has also transitioned into mixed media paintings. His work is represented in a number of galleries and publications.
My art, whether photography or painting, aims to establish an emotional connection. I explore my feelings about topics and what they mean to me. Over the years as I mature so does my art and my vision. When I take photographs of subjects I don’t only see a person, I see a way to express feeling. I interact with my subjects on a very personal level and work to pull emotions from them utilizing a variety of techniques including laughter. In my Mix Media work from any of my series, I am aiming to connect the ancient with the modern. My more recent works are a result of my inner reflections of my emotions, and history.

I am interested in helping, contributing, building, promoting, and above all, educating, by which I mean teaching and showing the language of art to youth and helping them see that art can free them, guide them in their self-expression, help them cultivate self-confidence… it is therefore important for young people to make art.
This is also the reason why I encourage people to paint, sculpt or write, no matter what they do for a living: so that they can get out of their routine and keep boredom at bay. Having said that, we must be clear of the artists’ biggest role in society, which is to contribute with our artworks to the wellbeing of our future generation. We must be aware of the power we have to influence and change certain aspects of art, culture and society. In my case, my work can be considered futurist, which is why it is not completely understood by society nor welcomed with open arms on the contemporary art scene.
Nevertheless, I am not discouraged because many artists have a spiritual, future-oriented vision in their art, with a sublime and universal message. My work is more than anything about an invitation to enter dreamlike and sometimes surreal worlds. I try to help the viewer escape his or her reality for a few moments without asking anything: just enter a new world and dream.
Hence, what I like most about what I do is helping people dream, and motivating them to do and to be. Musical Interpretation series attempts to interpret the musical vibrations through color, shapes and lines. I usually listen to Baroque music when I paint, but sometimes I also listen to electronic music or traditional Chinese music, as Chinese music has an important role to play with its concept of silence and emptiness, which I try to capture in this series.

Artist Statement: The edge is closer than we think, but illusion won’t free us from reality, even as the sustained narrative of tabloids becomes history and the myth of progress continues to perpetuate inequality. Globalization has moved forward unevenly and no-one can say where this “New Frontier” is leading us. As the natural world is liquidated and substituted with an artificial one, the social landscape becomes increasingly fractured and alienated. No longer in focus, all grand narratives dissipate in the space of post-history, as technological dependency diminishes the tangibility of our experiences. The medium has swallowed the message. Our time is marked by mass extinction, diminishing resources, global pandemic and climate change. As the vices of the first world burden the third, the skeletons of old factories serve as caveats of growing inequality. The silent landscape a symptom of a world exploited beyond use and increasingly reduced to a bottom line. Political dissidence is drowned out by the white noise of the media, as it sedates the social psyche with empty promises it proposes for the future it truncates. Working across different media- film, video, installation, photography, sculpture, sound and text, Heydt presents an abstract proposition for a world on the periphery of history, one that not only appears haunted by the ghosts of the past, but built on it. Conflating time and place, her layered imagery collides, merges and disrupts logical relationships between occurrences. Through adding and subtracting meaning by combining images of destruction with portrayals of the virtues born from the American Dream, Heydt confronts the disillusionment of our time with the ecological and existential nightmare it is responsible for.
Biography: Sam Heydt (born April 20, 1986) is an American social practice and recycled media artist born/raised in New York City. Although currently residing in Vienna, Heydt has lived/worked in Paris, Venice, Amsterdam, Athens, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Reykjavík and Rajasthan. Her academic career traversed Parsons School of Design, The New School, Cooper Union, University of Amsterdam, Universitdad of Buenos Aires and La Sorbonne. In 2012, Heydt launched Jane Street Studio, L.L.C. in Manhattan. Since established, the photo studio has broadened its performance to provide both design and marketing consultation in addition to art direction. It’s growing roster of clients span Europe, North & South America, Asia and Oceania. In addition to this entrepreneurial undertaking, Heydt has attended artist residencies in Iceland, Australia and New Zealand; where she has documented different forms of environmental exploitation. A published author, producer and lifelong activist, Heydt has undertaken a range of altruistic, non-profit work. Her art, anchored in social advocacy, attempts to give a voice to the veiled, forgotten, exiled, and silenced.
In her practice, she works across a spectrum of different media- film, video, installation, photography, sculpture, sound, merchandize, text — and employs a range of materials often reinventing or trespassing their associative use. Heydts’ vision looks beyond the ordinary. Esteemed as one of the pioneers of the recycled media movement, Heydt’s work has been shown in galleries, museums, art fairs and film festivals worldwide.

I hope you are doing well. My name is Nina Groth. I am an artist from Hamburg, Germany.
Due to the corona pandemic, I am at home a lot like many others and I think it is important to carry on with my art right now. Painting gives me strength. In this respect I would also like to share paintings that I have just finished during the corona pandemic. I am trying to focus on positive things during the crisis and to create a positive vision of the future.
Painting “Vorm Regen” (“Before the rain”), 40x40x2 cm, mixed media with spatula and acrylic, 2020: The current situation during the corona pandemic is overwhelming and depressing. Two walkers move alone in this new world, the sky shows the world just before heavy rainfall. Nevertheless, people are on the move together towards a somewhat distant and uncertain yet hopeful future.
Painting “Weltenbummler 2” (“Globetrotter 2”), 70x70x2 cm, collage technique with papers, nautical maps, spatula and acrylic, 2020: Even if people are acting separately or in small groups during the corona pandemic, they yet grow together, they are all in one situation, they all move in one world and they are all connected to each other – perhaps even more than before through this shared experience of hardship. Fragments of maps, curves, arches and lines represent these connections.
Painting “Berühren” (“Touch”), 70x50x2 cm, collage and spatula technique with papers, spatula, acrylic and bitumen, 2020: In the aftermaths of the corona experience the world has become connected by countless bridges. Borders have been dissolved, shifted and redesigned. The idea of differences between people worldwide has evolved into a vision of enriching diversity and cooperation and an emphasis on things that really matter. Text elements from different languages stand for this merged and colorful world, a more emphasized plasticity through spatula symbolizes the different cultures being in touch.

Salve amici di CRAC, aderisco con molto entusiasmo alla vostra bellissima iniziativa, in questo periodo di pandemia, inviandovi alcune foto della mie Demoiselles De Recyclon .
Sono damine modellate in porcellana fredda su bottiglie di recupero in vetro di liquori o birra. La tecnica pittorica utilizzata è il Country Painting , gli abiti sono ricavati dall’ opposizione di disegni che richiamano il Patchwork.
Per abbellire le damine e renderle più eleganti e raffinate sono state applicate delle perline decorative. Per rifinire il tutto sono state date diverse mani di vernice effetto ceramico .
Con queste mie opere ho partecipato alle mostre Miscellanea 2020 allestita presso la corte di Felsina a Bologna e Riarteco, rassegna dedicata a riciclo di materiali di scarto.

Spesso questi “semi verbali” sono combinati fra loro a costituire un mantra, oppure adoperati come mantra essi stessi (bījamantra).
The bīja (“seed”) are monosyllables that generally do not have a semantic meaning, or have lost it over time, but must be interpreted as simple sounds able to express or evoke particular aspects of nature or the divine, and to which they are attributed specific functions and interpretations that vary from school to school. Often these “verbal seeds” are combined with each other to constitute a mantra, or used as a mantra themselves (bījamantra).

Questa è una delle uniche registrazioni che ho potuto realizzare alla voce di mio papà mentre legge un brano da ‘Lessico familiare’ di Natalia Ginzburg. Questa registrazione risale al 2011, quando lavoravo per un mio film e coinvolgevo i miei familiari nella lettura di vari testi; non l’ho mai utilizzata.
Dopo otto anni ho voluto incidere questa registrazione su vinile per poi realizzarne una copia e quindi un calco con una gomma siliconica. Da questo calco è stata ottenuta una copia in resina epossidica, il disco originale è stato distrutto e così la registrazione di partenza.
I solchi del vinile e la registrazione si sono trasferiti nella gomma siliconica per poi trasferirsi ancora nella resina.
In questo processo di copia, ciò che era inciso nel disco originale è cambiato e, pur relazionandosi con la propria origine, ha acquisito una nuova identità.
Esistono due tipi di labirinto, in inglese le due parole per definirli sono maze e labyrinth: l’idea di maze è vicina a un’esperienza romantica dove semplicemente perdere se stessi, mentre il labyrinth è quel labirinto che conduce solo al centro, in un percorso per ritrovare se stessi.
Il primo dove la scelta è fondamentale, non è solo questa o quella via ma è possibile restare fermi o tornarsene indietro; l’altro dove la scelta è a priori e si decide di seguire il labirinto.

I would like to submit a recent music video – “Lucky One” is a story about how we all wear masks. (This is especially true now, when the world is changing rapidly and we can’t understand what is happening.)
Each of us has a secret inside. We can’t open up to the outside world as we really are. Society considers the abnormal normal. Where is the definition of normality? Who decides this and why? Why are children with autism “sick” and not people of the future? But sometimes someone or something intervenes in our lives, as now, pulling the strings and revealing the true beginning in people. What we were born with, but carefully hidden from everyone. And perhaps it is at this moment that we experience true happiness, being freed from the assessments and opinions of other people.

We see images of ancient cities from before the war, the beautiful mosques and churches, the schools and shopping malls, the neighborhoods… and then we see the same spectacles of humanity after devastating shelling and firefights. Alongside these images of ruin we receive portraits of death, human death and human suffering caused by humans.
These visions, they chip away at any hope we may have for the future of humanity. We build, we create, to destroy, to kill. Rubble and bodies fill our histories. This is our cycle, our Sisyphean fate. We label this destruction evil and wrong. And it is… because our evolution has created this meaning and understanding, it is programmed into our DNA.
But it is also a law of the universe. Over time, every glass cup formed will be smashed, every body born will decay, all order leads to disorder. Energy dissipates and chaos is left in it’s wake, a one way flow. Even the energy we give to creation adds to this end, to entropy, and the universe doesn’t care. Our definitions and meaning mean nothing to it.
The universe is cold and it is only getting warmer.But somehow even knowing this ending we keep making, reforming, forging, reaching. There is a program running on the computers inside our heads that makes us gods! So as we destroy, we build and build and build on top of our own detritus and bones, a little closer to the heavens and a little further down for our boulder to roll.
However, somehow this end of all things, this lead to holy mess opens us to those few instants we get where there is order, when creation crystallizes for a moment and defies probability.Pasta e Lava is this defiance.
The work, comprised of both instant composition and set material, is the volatile ride through the parallel realities of two bodies creating and destroying. This duet is an open recipe that invites the audience to explore the weave between love and madness and chance.
Pasta e Lava is pure creative entropy and it is the measure of time in our hearts.

Antropocene, momento greve, in altre parole come l’uomo maltratta, distrugge, altera, gli equilibri della nostra terra mater.
In questa interminabile notte del nostro tempo l’uomo meriterebbe di scomparire dalla terra. Ben venga il virus a fare una tabula rasa in questa realtà in cui l’uomo è immerso, protagonista, vittima e carnefice; almeno cosi le altre forme viventi continuerebbero nella loro vita.
Ma, se l’antropocene persiste l’uomo spazzerà via se stesso e ogni altra forma vivente dal pianeta. La natura a difesa del suo equilibrio, ci invia a noi umani il Covid-19 e ci ferma, ci blocca.
Ci fa capire la strada sbagliata che l’uomo ha intrapreso producendo inquinamento, modificazione della natura, sperimentazione sugl’animali, divisioni sociali sempre più ampie. Gli eventi catastrofici portano il male ma a volte portano anche un po’ di bene.
Ad esempio le auto sono ferme e com’è avvenuto dopo il blocco a Wuhan l’aria è più sana e sicuramente vi sarà un calo dei tumori polmonari dovuti allo smog.
E’ opportuna una convergenza dei nostri stili di vita. Se poniamo l’attenzione sul futuro, forse riusciamo a percepire una speranza che non avvenga la scomparsa della nostra specie. Questo virus è ritenuto un nemico ma credo anche che sia anche un po’ amico perché ci può presentare il bivio giusto da intraprendere.
Sull’ipotetico futuro dei nostri cari delle ultime generazioni, nel mio essere assorto mi viene una visione interiore di una coscienza umana gravida del germe della speranza, ossia un rapporto nuovo adeguato verso l’altro, che sia terra, che sia carne, che sia vegetale, che sia aria, che sia acqua.
Questi disegni su carta e specie “Embrione” che figura un tenero abbraccio uomo – animale che sguscia come una gemma, mi significa una nuova vita, una speranza.

A story life biography with some my paintings.

After 21 years of independence in a poor joint family a new member took birth, and his lovable grandmother gave him the name Dhiman which means a guy with knowledge. From the childhood days it was not always possible to buy milk always but tea and old bread had made everything perfect and that how naughty Dhiman grown up.
No matter that family was unable to provide Dhiman with colours but he had already head much forward with chalk, ink, and female feet colour known as ALTA. His mom uma devi was a born artist, and father was a talented, broad hearted human being. The first step to painting with the hand of his mother. Painting of flowers, birds which is been drawn on slate that is how Dhiman has stared steps to polish towards paintings. But still he asks himself that what is so painful in this world? At the age of 5 he hook up his first prize from his nearest club and the prize was a fountain pen. Many years he looked after that fountain pen. After many years passed he was not that much concerned about studies but he always stare outside the window of school premises and love to see the nature. Every teacher used to love him for his paintings. As because he always had a great passion towards painting so he quit the line of B. COM and took admission in academy of fine arts. With holding his seniors hands he always wanted to feel atmosphere of santiniketan so whenever he got chance he went there. The Sculpture by ramkinkar beij had made an impact on him and made him think of to paint about poor and hungry people because he was very hungry for painting. After that he totally change his subject and bring a new evolution of art, hence he stayed focused and upgraded himself. In the year 1996 6th dec Dhiman married to a pretty woman sumita. In the year 1999 19th nov they finally brighten up their life with their first son soumya. Year 2001 8th july Dhiman lost his father kumar ranjan bhattachrjee reason was cancer. Dhiman was totally shattered, he was totally clueless. His friends and relative use to think that Dhiman has lost. Day by day with his family he use to work for small companies but he hadn’t quit painting. 8th july 2008 dhiman joins his father’s job in a school as a clerical position. 2010 9th june Dhiman losses his first teacher of his painting life his mother uma devi.
In this shattered broken life sumita and soumya had fought with him without looking after hunger or demand. Dhiman still drawing his words and about poor people hunger and need, his dream is no matter what happens every child should not stay hungry and get established in his or her own way of artistic dream.
After these amount of fight Dhiman is still polishing his passion towards painting and he is still drawing no matter how much medical issues came. Highlighting this two of his painting are as follow:-

One day one friend of mine have asked that why I only draw nude human art work. I smiled and said open your sunglass first. A country where there is no food, no culture, and no education the people of that country are naked. We call ourselves intellectual and educated but we wear sunglass to hide these naked world. A famous poet of Bengal named kavi Sukanto Bhttacharjee written that “purnimar chand jeno jholshano ruti”. My this artwork is dedicated to sukanto bhattacharjee as he have said “purnimar chand jeno jholshano ruti”.
As the two teachers have done sexual torture with just 4 year old girl, this is the main example that we are wearing sunglass to hide this naked country.
2. Prostitute
At the time of slave trade whole world’s rich people and landlords buy them and make them slave. At that time many women has to face brutal situations and faced rape every night. From that that time they got a name that is prostitute. The job they does for that reason they has been hated by the population. One day this hate made them a real prostitute. Still today many prostitutes been seen on roads those who are hiding their naked pain with new clothes. In 21st century when the women are doctor, engineer, astronaut, prime minister or chief minister still now also they get poses by abusing languages which is equal to rape. For that reason my painting Prostitute (a naked story of our world).
Artist statement; Mainly Indian painting been done with a new formation or a new experimental work. Highlighting poor life of poor people, hunger and need of them because I have tasted what is struggle and I have faced a lot to achieve my dreams. In the year 1992 completed my fine arts diploma with 1st division. Trained from academy of fine arts Calcutta. 20 years’ experience as a drawing teacher in my own affiliated school. Competed exhibition in abroad as well, places like Dubai and Nepal. Aderisco al progetto di CRAC che, in questo momento di particolare paura e tristezza, propone di mostrare lavori che esprimono sensazioni e sentimenti sul coronavirus.
Questo è un lavoro che ho realizzato il 21 marzo in piena quarantena e rappresenta un busto di donna in argilla e il suo stampo diretto in juta e resina, una rappresenta il prima, l’altra il dopo questa pandemia l’essenza è la stessa ma niente sarà più come prima.
Il titolo dell’opera è “matrice”.

Raccolgo il vostro gradito invito a partecipare al progetto CRACovid(a), di
cui ho avuto comunicazione su Facebook.
Mi chiamo Silvia Fanti e pratico arte nei pochissimi momenti liberi, quella che ho imparato all’Istituto d’Arte, in cui mi sono diplomata ormai 28 anni fa. Ma come si dice: impara l’arte e mettila da parte.
Attualmente sono impiegata comunale presso la Biblioteca Classense di
Ravenna. A dire la verità non ho un progetto vero e proprio, come voi chiedete nel post, ma in questi anni ho lavorato molto sul paesaggio e quindi vi allego le foto di qualche lavoro di tipo pittorico.
Lavoro n. 1: “Dove mette la Marina”, acrilico su tela e inserto d’argento
microfuso, 40 x 50 cm.
Lavoro n. 2: “Tutte le mattine”, acrilico su tela e inserto d’argento
microfuso, 30 x 40 cm.
Lavoro n. 3: “Ippocastano e quercia”, grafite e acquerello su carta
(organizzata a leporello), 9,5 x 59 cm.
Nella speranza che le immagini dei miei lavori possano allietare la

Tra i lavori realizzati negli anni ho scelto il dittico “Brain” perché mi sembra possa, attraverso l’astrazione, proporre un messaggio sul tema della vita in questo tempo di pandemia. Anche se spesso ce ne dimentichiamo, il cervello è l’organo centrale per il nostro benessere quotidiano, e dal buon funzionamento di quei 1500 grammi di materia grigia dipendono non solo le nostre funzioni vitali, ma anche il nostro buonumore e la nostra felicità.
L’opera fa parte di una serie che ho chiamato “Geometrie del sacro” che ho esposto a Venezia durante l’ultima Biennale, alla Galleria VisioniAltre: ancora astrazioni, labirinti geometrici con forme che si ripetono, si moltiplicano, intrappolano lo sguardo, con un aspetto dinamico, con disegni realizzati con fili sottilissimi incisi a fuoco, che indagano sul concetto di soglia e di limite, quello che fa incontrare il mondo esterno con quello interiore.

Buongiorno, ho letto su Instagram il vostro invito e molto volentieri vi invio 5 foto.
Sono Maurizio Pilò, ho studiato all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna (finito nel 1979) e ho il mio studio a Santa Maria in Fabriago (RA).
I lavori che vi invio (tutti 40×30 cm.) fanno parte del progetto “Pagine di un libro che non c’è”. La tecnica è mista e il tutto parte da fotografie scattate da me. Sono di luoghi che mi trovo davanti praticamente tutti i giorni. Diventano “appunti” come testimoni di immagini che rimangono sepolte e diventano memoria. Una volta “svelate” le incollo su una tavola di legno e vengono celate con pezzi di pellicole fotografiche da vecchi impianti di libri (faccio il grafico e impaginavo libri), poi altri scarti che diventano (trasformati) in qualcosa di prezioso. Cera d’api, copale, foglia d’oro, catrame, carta. Tutto come un unguento che allunga la vita, strati di giorni, lavori, pensieri, momenti.
Sono pagine da leggere…in ordine sparso.
Vi ringrazio molto, spero di essermi spiegato e mi farebbe molto piacere, appena possibile, riuscire a parlarne a voce.

“Ricominciare” Carta bruciata a pirografo, nido, uovo, dimensione variabile
Installazione nata da una collaborazione a 4 mani, durante l’allestimento della mostra bipersonale LOG Off #1 a cura di CRAC, collegata a ScrittuRa Festival 2018.
L”idea dell’opera ci era venuta unendo il senso del raccontare una storia, misteriosa e indecifrabile, scritta lentamente coi segni (di Alessia) lasciati dal fuoco sui fogli, a quello del continuo rinascere delle cose e della vita, che mi aveva suscitato un nido vero, occupato da un uovo, ritrovato nel giardino della casa di famiglia, e donatomi in quel periodo.
Oggi vogliamo condividere il piacere che provammo allora nel realizzare l’opera insieme, semplicemente, ma anche il messaggio che offre ancora a tutti.

Rispondo alla chiamata con ciò che poi sara’ parte della mostra “IOTUNOI”. Questa è “geografia di un corpo” un percorso che io e Margherita Tedaldi abbiamo deciso di avviare in parallelo e insieme per vedere come si evolve e si narra questa geografia per entrambe.
Il primo capitolo è dedicato al volto e al busto direi organi compresi, il cuore, i polmoni, il nostro grande respiro, ma anche il ventre. Consapevoli che il nostro lavoro artistico continua anche in questo tempo rarefatto e senza misura.
Il primo capitolo sara’accompagnato da una plaquette di poesie, ma anche prosa in versi se vuoi (molto vicina alla lezione di Amos Oz) che di questi corpi, ora volti, rappresentano voce e silenzio. La prima questa; “Meravigliati del ritorno, ora che scritta e incisa col fuoco, saprai scivolare e, come protetta da certo calore, poco a poco, ti vedrò lacrimare”. Le immagini che invio sono la mia parte di lavoro. Margherita, se già non l’ha fatto, invierà la sua.
Certa anche che da questa esperienza possano nascerne altre.
